1. Industry Introduction 

A palletizer is an automated packaging device, which primarily used to automatically stack bulk, powdery, lumpy, and cardboard boxes into neat stacks on automated production lines. With the rapid development of modern logistics, food and beverage, chemical, and pharmaceutical industries, palletizer plays a vital role in improving production efficiency, reducing labor intensity, and ensuring product quality.

2. Solution Overview 

The WECON solution is a column straight-arm palletizing machine developed based on the WECON bus-type PLC LX6S. It controls through the motor shaft to stack and pile up items at the preset positions. The products used in this solution are as follows:

3. Process Requirements 

(1) The placing is divided into odd layers, even layers and bag-pressing layers, and the placing position is determined by manual teaching (support world coordinate system).

(2) Different placement modes can be set for various products, with free selection of products to be placed. This solution supports the placing of up to 16 different products.

(3) The number of layers to place can be freely selected.

(4) Each layer of materials supports two height setting: Equal height and customized.

(5) The starting placing layer and position for palletizing can be customized.

(6) The palletizing speed can reach over 500 bags per hour, and it can palletize heavy objects weighing up to 100 kg

This device is developed based on the WECON bus-type PLC. It performs motion control through absolute positioning and two-axis linear interpolation, featuring a fast response speed and more flexible and convenient application.
